Absolute noob! Couple of Q's Re: Tx/Sims

Hey guys
I just recently picked up an eflite mcx to play around in the house as well as got to fly a vapor and it's sparked my interest to give some other rc aircraft a try
Im new to flying and am starting from scratch .I was lookin at the Spektrum dx5e as a cheap Tx to get started but i have no idea if this tx is able to work on a sim or do they all have a port to hook to a pc for sims?I know the cheap bind n fly that came with mcx does not .If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great !Cheaper options the better since im not sure i even want to commit to flying yet and i already have a heavy surface rc addiction to fund.
What i was hoping/thinking was,buy the dx5e and im presuming you need to buy the cable to go from tx to pc and get some freeware flight sims to give it a try and if all else fails i will have a decent tx for my mcx and vapor.Sorry for the short novel and thanks for any help i may receive
