Put the throttle all the way up wait for one beep, then return to no throttle position and the esc should beep twice and be armed. Hope this helps

Re: Great Planes Super Sportster EP Speed control issues

I have a super sportster EP aswell...I threw out the brushed gear not having a chance to fly stock because of the same problem you are having.
I instead converted to a brushless motor turnigy c3538 1100KV (no longer made) and a fms 40A esc. I fly it on a zippy 4s 2200 40C with a 10x7 apc prop. I took off at 3/4 throttle and the first words out of my mouth are not publishable on this site... it had to be over 70+mph and could clear a football size feild in under 3 seconds...I had no way to register the speed...it was a bit hairy I wasn't used to 1/2 that speed . At full throttle it was just crazy speed.

I believe the included brushed esc is a 30 amp one, hobby king sells a brushed 30amp.

I have one that I use on a type of air car I made using the SS brushed motor and gear box, hardly gets warm.

Cheers!

David

Re: Great Planes Super Sportster EP Speed control issues

Thanks for the info, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had this issue, or this plane.

It sounds like everyone is happy with it when they go brushless.
