EXO and Apache C1
Both of these buggies run all 1/8th chassis and electronics, but are a classed as short course buggies. So my question is this, what class would they run in if some one were to run them in a race. Would they they be in 1/8th e-buggy or would they be in 4x4 SC?
Johnny

And not true about the 1/8 buggy electronics. I'm not sure about the HPI, but the Axial runs 1/10 electronics, and is smaller than a 1/8 buggy. Way lighter too. They're pretty cool, though. They'd likely need a class started just for them, just like SCT's needed their own class when they hit the scene. |

the apache C1 comes with the same motor and esc thats in the savage HP and the EXO everyone has been putting 550 motors and 1/8th ESC's such as tekin RX8 and mamba monster's.
what about for tracks thats arnt on the compition side of the sport and such as elite, BnD, and KLM. which class or class' would they fall best under? Johnny

Johhny they still really would not fit into a class.
They are more a shortcourse than anything but they are open wheel so it would be a marshaling nightmare. Its too light and fragile to run with 1/8th scale buggies you would just get broken too fast and easy. Its too big and heavy to run in a 1/10th scale buggy class as you would just break them. Its basically what Shortcourse was when Traxxas first came out with it.. it would be like the Losi XXX-SCB it would just need to have enough interest to run a class on its own. |

thanks tim, your reasoning makes sense as its really down to how the driver is and what the track desides.
and mike i was leaning to the SC 4x4 too, as they have 1/8th scale SC-E's that run with 1/10th 4x4's. i was thinking the only real advantage they would have is no parchute effect. thank you both of you guys. you guys cleared alot up johnny

Yea the no parachute effect would give you a clear advantage, but the open wheels could really get you hung up alot on the bumpers of the other cars on the track making new issues. lol
