Jason I was about to build a Debonair for my son to fly.

Any changes you could recommend?
Eg. would 2 mil Coroplast be strong enough for the wing?

Thanks

ya its an awsome plane to fly daves flew exeptionally fine

Jim Moss,

i think you should stick with the 4 mil coro top and bottom and make it one fold only!!!! so that theres no extra cuts make your wing one piece per side instead of a bottom piece and a top piece then the other side the same . i would suggest instead of the meter stick as the spar use some building insolation foan pieces! you know the blue stuff used on the outside walls. an that should do it. when you make it try making the spar a touch wider for added strength. me and dave were building me a dogfighter and the sideways flutes with a piece of polystyrene(blue building foam) took my entire 185 pounds to even bend it in two!!!! it never accually broke!!!!! so try that itll lightin it up a little and put your flutes so that they are purpendicular with the fuse.

any questions just email me!

In the plans I got at STTB the top and bottom of the wing was 1 piece I thought?

I have some Pink foam should be the same.

And you say run the flutes the length of the wing, that would make it easier to bend.

Thanks for the info.

yes

well i hope it helped theres a way to make bending even easier! were the bend is going to be cut out strips of the top of the flute. 3 or four in a row! it makes a nice rounded l/e if that didnt make much sense email me and ill send you a picture!
