i suggest you read the manual... if you don't have it, you can download it on line... there are lots of features in there that are REALY usefull... things like what he extra thumb buttons do when the third channel is not being used... i didn't look into it when i got it at first either but trust me its worth the read

I have heard that too.
I heard if you go to a big race you have a hard time on 27 cuz the best guys all use 27 cuz its stronger.
Or get a spectrum

I love the JR XS3 PRO radio over my Airtronics MX3 or Synthezized MX3 .

The JR synthezized RX's are cheaper by $40 at Hobby Home. So if you optioned to buy the Airtronics MX3 Synthezized TX it will communicate with the JR RX's and vise versa.

I like the 10 model memory of the PRO and its cool silver look. You can also name your models instead of them being called MOD 1 and so on. My M1 is listed on the screen as X-F(actor), M2 as X-T(erminator), M3 as MAM(oth), and M4 as LST. The PRO I believe is the one that has the 27 and 75 MHz option and not the model before it.

I'm almost positive that Edward at Hobby Home has the cheapest price in town on most items so if you really are considering this purchase, check him out. He is located on the SE corner of Yonge and Steeles on Yonge next to EB Games.

No, there has not been a good reason to by 27 band for well over
10 years now. Back around 15 years ago you could "hot rod"
a radio. As far as I know, you cannot do that anymore. Even
if you could, there is no reason to do so. You only make noise
on other bands and make life difficult for other people. You
get no benefit on your own radio. To get a benefit you would
have to be trying to run a car, say, 100 yards away. No track
is that big. 27 band is completely ignorable. Leave it for the guys
running XMods. They have no choice.

I bought the JRX3 Pro. I have not tried it at a track yet. The only
drawback I found so far (just out of the box and playing with it a bit)
is that the grip and buttons are arranged for large hands. I have
had a number of transmitters over the years and this is the first
time it has been an issue. My hands are not *that* small. I wear
"Medium" size gloves and I know my hands are bigger than some
fairly good guitarists (all guitarists eventually compare hands.

The problem is that the placement of the A, B and C controls
are just out of reach for me. I have to shift my grip to reach
them (even without the cushion grip). To do that "disturbs"
your trigger finger location which throws off your throttle/brake
control. I think I will be able to use it just barely, if I only need
A, B or C *very* rarely.

If you want to buy this transmitter I seriously suggest you try it
out before buying. As I say, this is the first transmitter I have
ever tried where this has been an issue.
