PINNICAL HOBBY SEMINAR SERIES

Dave Henry, from Pinnical Hobby, has asked me to POLL our local GTA membership and find out if there would be interest in a seminar series hosted by Pinnical Hobby.

I understand that most of our memebrship is not from the Markham area, but Dave has assked me to find out how many people would be interested in a 4-6 different night series of seminars during the long winter months.

The topics are not set yet, but would range from nitro engine tuning, suspension tunning, diff and tranny, etc etc.. As well, there could be open invite, or it could be a first come first serve.. around 15 people...

As many of you know, Dave has many years of sponsored driving and racing experience with 1/8 th scale buggies, and feels that he has a lot of expereince to draw from, and if he can help even one person with this series of seminars, than he is helping us all.

Right now, this is just in the development stages, but there is a possibilty that the seminars would be free.. or everyone throws in $5.00 and it goes to pizza and pop for the night.

Like I said, this is just in the idea stage, but if you would like to see something like this, and would probably attend, please let me know here in this thread.

Thanks
Scott Pond (spond)

I live close enough and already shop there. Considering how much I have to learn , I would definitely attend any seminar.

Just a thought, but why doesnt Dave or Ron come on the site and pitch a few ideas so we have a better idea of what we are voting on. I have some idea for seminars but want to know what they have in mind.

Pinnical Hobby is located on 16th and 48 (markham rd) in Markham. On the far west side of the north west strip mall complex.. it makes sence when you are there..
They will have info in the shops and links area soon..

Becasue Dave approached a valued memeber of offroadrc.ca ... ME... and asked if I could post the idea first to see if people would be interested. As of the last conversation that I had with Dave, there were 10-13 people interested, so he was going to put somemore thought into the process and proceed accordingly. I can only assume, that since more people are showing an interest, that Dave will now refine his seminar ideas and inform us as to the subjects and possible dates. I guess I was just supporting my LHS.
