Starter Box Wiring Help

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Hey guys, looking for a little help and I know some of you have already done this.

This starter box is set to use two 7.2v packs. I plan to use one 14.4 lipo (ignore connectors as I plan to install deans) and was wondering about the wiring. Am I safe to assume I could just use the positive and negative wires from the box to the same on the battery? And just scrap the white wire?

Can someone point me in the right direction before I blow something up?

Thanks,

Ray

Make sur don't allow the batteries to discharge completely. Your packs should last at least two days at the track.

Also disconnect them when you are not going to use the starter box (when you are finished your day at the track). Even though your starter box may have a on/off switch the batteries will continue to drain slowly even in the off position.

Yes, thank you. Disconnecting is something I'll have to remember as a habit. All in all the box worked liked a charm seeing its first race day on Sunday. After all the starts I would need in a typical race day the battery was still reading 14.2v. I should've made the switch a long time ago lol.

I'll switch my 1/8 box too. Bye bye gell cells. The only thing I'll miss is the workout you gave me from lugging you around
