Tower Hobbies-quick shipping :)

I hadn't ordered anything from Tower in over 25 years maybe. Ordered some props, pneumatic fittings and switch harnesses and a few other things. Parcel arrived in 5 days. I thought that was pretty good delivery time from the the US.
Waiting on a couple Q40 props from a different warehouse still....but still!

Re: Tower Hobbies-quick shipping :)

I used them and had a plane delivered to the UPS store in Lewiston. Free shipping and got there is 2 days. No duty either, as it was classified a toy. I live in Toronto so I probably used about $40 in gas, but still a lot cheaper than other things I have ordered. I bought one of those Freewing Douglas Dauntless (which is a very nice flying model by the way). It was $229 USD from Motion RC. By the time it got here with the exchange, shipping, UPS brokerage fees it came out just south of $500! Then I found out my LHS can get it without all the other fees. Won't order direct from them again.

Re: Tower Hobbies-quick shipping :)

My stuff fit in a 12' x 5 x 5 ish size box. They sent it by postal service.
I never order stuff by Fedex or UPS or DHL if I can help it.

Re: Tower Hobbies-quick shipping :)

You can get Q40 racing props from APC or Darrol Cady racing products.
If you don't mind me asking are you flying a pylon plane with a Nelson/Jett Q40 motor.
I am an old pylon racer from away back, just flying electric F 1 now.

Re: Tower Hobbies-quick shipping :)

I was looking at a 1/5 scale warbird ARF from Tower only shipping option was 125USD UPS.
We all know UPS is not an option for cross boarder shipping to Canada unless your will to get robbed by them with all the extra BS fees the charge.
