I am going to buy a new 2.4 ghz radio.

I can not decide which of these I should buy.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be helpful.

Both have a pretty good reputation (so far)

if it were me it would be based simply on brand preference and competitive cost.

Can't rate the 8FG but own a Hitec Aurora and have found it to be a great radio. I have seen a wide range of pricing on them recently. What is the best price you have found for the Aurora. I or someone else here might be able to point to a better source.

I was in the same situation a few months ago. I spent several hours researching both radios, and I bought the 8FG.

It seems now that Hitec has some issues with optical kill.

All I can say is I'm glad I went with the 8FG. And to boot, it's wicked fast! The latency time is very low.
