Re: Pro-Flow 3D Canisters
I have been thinking on trying the PF cans in the DA150. It would interesting to see. Let us know what the numbers are when the PFs are compared with the MTWs. I will be very interested.
Cheers, Will

Re: Pro-Flow 3D Canisters
Thanks guys for all the feedback. Based on what I read on FG and RCU I decided to go ahead and order a set of Pro Flows. It'll be summer before I can give any feedback but I am confident that I'll be pleased.
I'll be at Maidenfest so many of you will be able to hear them first hand.

Re: Pro-Flow 3D Canisters
I watched every video on the Planebender website.
All I saw were well tuned engines along with a great throttle curve programmed in the transmitters.(most of them anyways) they do have a nice sound. Heck, even the one guy there got 500 rpm..Impressive to say the least. Nothing there though showing tests done the same day with other brands of exhaust. So I'm really looking forward to the testing here. Good luck guys!! |

Also, a set of Hatori cans should be coming From RCU. Never saw one before so I couldn't help myself. I am not too concerned with #s though, RPM or DB, I just like how things feel and sound. AFAIK, hobbies get expensive when numbers have too much value. Nick |

Re: Pro-Flow 3D Canisters
I'm really excited to see the results!!! I agree with Wingburner that other exhausts are required for comparison, or else it's just a prop test!
Congrats Planebender for trying to improve the performance of the midrange!!! . . Too bad DA couldn't have designed the 170 better in the first place (flame suit on ) To qualify that statement, I love DA and have played with their entire line-up and love them all except the rattletrap 60/120 and that mid-range dog of a 170, which is mostly where I've heard the positive feedback on these cans! Not sure if one could argue for the other motors, that if properly set-up in the first place, you can get great mid-range and awesome top-end??? Cheers Trev |

Re: Pro-Flow 3D Canisters
A buddy of mine has a Hangar 9 Beast with the DLE 111 in it. He's swinging a Xoar 27x10 on stock mufflers. It has plenty of power but is annoyingly loud. My goal is simply to have a smooth running setup that isn't as obnoxious.
I too don't really care about the numbers. If it sounds good to my ears and performs the way I want I'll be happy regardless of the numbers.

So how will you actually know if they make a difference? Nothing wrong with loving their sound and buying bling. Nothing at all. Just asking. I sent Dave an email..If it fits, perhaps I'll splurge and get one for my DA 60 and do some tests on a test stand...Of course that wouldn't happen till spring. |
