New TXs, 2.4 gig, now getting real time telemtry

Well yet "another" reason to go 2.4 kiddos!

Seems now we are getting to the next big bump in what 2.4 is doing for us. The new Spektrum is now announcing real time telemtry in their DX8! I am not a big fan of its' looks, however the specs are looking real good!

I am in market for a new radio, SD-10G looks great spec wise, this DX8 looks good spec wise, the new 11X is likely going to be killer to.

Check out some of the new cool things bundled into the DX8!

The DX8 is a better range of hand-held transmitter for the aspiring model pilots. The investment follows a modern design with an impressive ergonomics. All controls are within comfortable reach,
even if you have smaller hands. Course
DX8 is the spectrum with the unique
DSM2 transmission system facilities. It offers a fast and secure link to the model. Of course, this also includes remote control system
in the range of equipment used to make Bind and Fly fly models of Horizon.
The facility is equipped with telemetry. This permits real-time monitoring of flight log data and the power supply and
Data from other external sensors. The facility has a modern and very ergonomic
Software that is fast and intuitive. Extensive functions for area pilots,
as well as for helicopter pilots from the software feature.
Internally, the system stops at 30 model memories. The built-in SD card reader, however, allows an approximate
unlimited number of model memories. In addition, software updates can be easily performed.
The spectrum DX8 is supplied with 4 languages.
It can be set to 3 service areas
- EU, France and U.S.. Furthermore, the investment in Mode 1 can be flown to 4. DX8 The spectrum needs are met almost all of the dedicated model airplanes.

Yeah! The Hitec Aurora 9 TX with RX voltage display is neat. The additional telemetry soon to be available will be interesting also.

Just when you thought you *had* the best radio,

Out comes another on that you have to have (wel...maybe..)

I love tech goodies. I think I'll keep my DX7 and opt for a stand-alone telemetry package when it becomes more affordable

It's a tough call, I really like this SD-10G as well, just really want to be able to put one in hand and see how it feels same as this DX8 as well, the specs look good though.

Re: New TXs, 2.4 gig, now getting real time telemtry

I know there are some who really don't get the whole 2.4 thing, many think it's a fad, well its here to stay and in a few years I highly doubt any manufacturer will even make a 72 meger radio, mark those words down!

For those that want to know what latency is and how it makes a difference, take a peak. Many of the newest txs,rxs in the 2.4 game are equipped with super low latency and high res, check it out..
