Our field is an immense field with grass similar to a fairway on a golf course that is used during the day by full size military helicopter for training. All we have to do is cut the grass a little shorter to make the runways. It's probably one of the best place to fly r/c in Canada. There is even a full size windsock.

No clubhouse but for $25...

Hey, I might join your club! but it might be too far for me to drive each day

Morning Ron

Check out the History Button on our website how we got here and also the photo site as it wasn't all magic but a lot of physical work by some members:

The short answer is 53.

I play the devil's advocate as between those who want a cap on membership and those who want more members.

Thumbs up Re: Club Fees

I don't understand the reaction here. If the initiation fee was unreasonable it would not survive. I for one barely have that amount invested in the hobby, but to spend time at the right facility owned by my club with manicured field and runway and other comfortable facilities would be worth a lot of money to me. Perhaps those who say they are trying to attract members should look closely at the facility they have and assess whether it will attract new members. Also revisit your training methods, etc.
We implemented an initiation fee, granted a lot less, but a lot less of a facility also, and despite the fear of driving people away, it has proven to not affect new members at all.
I have found this with other organizations also. Those that have gone before and created a good facility deserve to get a break on there future costs.have the new members contribute to the assets.

NICE! I would love to fly at such a field!!
