That would be an understatement. Look at the AirStar websites under the FAQ, they compare their heli's to VARIO making sure to point out that AirStar's are better ( I tend to read between the lines). Also that some/all parts are interchangeable. Not sure why no comparisons with Century or Bergen or .
One thing is for sure these look good, period. Look solid. Next step people need to put them in the air for real world testing

Re: AirStar Mongoose - Review and Pics

awesome bird! i also have an Airstar bird here that im working on for a company that will use it for UAV work. it has the Zenoah 26cc gasser in it as well, as well as the Vario head/tail. ive set it up as 3 servo 120 degree ECCPM setup, and it swings 810's as well.....

since working on this bird, ive been considering finding something like this for myself! just he sheer rotor diameter blows me away.... i have a couple 500's, and two 600's, an Align 600E, and a Ghobee Phazor 600, all my birds (11) are electric, but theres something about this big gasser thats appealing to me.....maybe next summer! ill keep my eyes open in HeliFreak and RunRyder classifieds, you never know what'll pop up!

and congrats on your fine bird! let us know how it works out for you!
