I want some insight to what radio is the better way to go! I just bought an Sc10 RTR and it came with a cheap radio...I wanna upgrade.
Back in the day I used futaba because there was no spektrum.
Whats the best/most popular and most reliable radio?

Re: Spektrum or futaba Pistol Grip radio?
I think it's more about what you plan to use it for.2.4 seems to be the way to go if you want to run with others at a track .though there is nothing wrong with the older FM stuff and there are a lot of high end radios going for next to nothing as guys switch to designated 2.4 .also many of the older high end radios can be up graded to 2.4 .I have a track at home where I bash with a bunch of guys I use my older futaba 3PK with the fm module for that.I use a spektrum module & reciever in the one car I plan to race at tracks.not mutch advantage to 2.4 if you run with the same guys or by yourself.for the same money I would rather have a top of the line fm futaba that can be upgraded to 2.4 then a lower end designated 2.4 system.Roger
I like futaba myself ,but I like the spektrum modules& recievers better than the futaba stuff .
