+1 on that. It's one thing if you are just "trying it out", but seeing that you are building a 1/5 scale plane with a >$300 engine, it looks like you are planning to get serious about it. I use a 6 channel computer radio and it suits my needs, but most would say get a minimum 7 channel set-up, and it should do you for a looooong time.

Please post a build log for your Monocoupe - I think it's one of the nicest high-wing ARFs out there.

You will soon learn that as good as they are, Cubs are not good RC trainers.

I especially like Cubs, particularly with clipped wings and in giant scale sizes. I've had about half a dozen, in various sizes and configurations - on both wheels and floats, with full span and clipped wings.

A much better training plane was suggested right at the start - a Sig Kadet. Either a Kadet or something similar is far superior for training.

I believe he is reffering to the Parkzone Super Cub which is a fine airplane to start with . The Sig Kadet or any of the popular trainers are also a good choice to start with .
The engine is the heart of an airplane , but the pilot is it's soul .
