Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Went flying at Kinnaird park in Edmonton today the weather and wind were great . Spent 2 hrs on the slope enjoying the consistent south wind 18-20 km/h .Guess I was there at the right time.

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Looking foreward to steady winds at 24 kmp/h from the south between 11:00am to 7:00pm. Kinnaird park in Edmonton looks good to me.Should be there around noon.

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Nice thread. Lots of good info. Not into slope soaring yet but it looks like fun.

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Thanks Wayne. Keep an eye open for any flyable areas around the Cold Lake and document it here.
Went out to Kinnaird Park once again and was rewarded with great south winds.

And the view from the top

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Just came across a favorite designer of mine that has produced some new slope kits that fit into the Alberta niche of slope flying. I had built one of his models and flew it, till it could fly no more.
The Dynaflite Talon
Now he has revamped his designs and sells them here:
