Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Info below gleaned from
Site Name: Mount Baldy Nordegg
GPS Location: 52°31'52.82"N, 116° 7'31.84"W
Site Owner: Ranger Fire Lookout Station
Wind Directions: N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW
launching locations in any direction. Grassy Slopes all around.
There is a locked gate near 3/4 of the way to the top with a parking lot. You can obtain a key to the gate at the ranger station. 4x4 is highly recommended past the gate. You can walk up if you have the energy.

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

Great day at the science park today. In fact a fellow (Bob) joined me with his flying wing. Great fun.
Was flying my v tail fling and even the multiplex merlin got some airtime.

Where was Corey?

Re: Alberta Slope Patrol guide

I wish I could have made it out there. I was busy looking for a new house as our lease here is up at the end of July, Found one so now comes the dreaded move over the next couple weeks. The best part is now I have a whole basement for a workshop instead of the coffee table in my living room.

I did however build myself a 36" hot wire cutter and test cut a couple pieces, works great. I also bought a bunch of foam (5mm depron and some styrofoam from home depot) so after the move Ill try and build a slope soarer.

Any ideas, or tips on what makes for a good slope soarer?
