I dont know if this qualifies, cause it was with a Hobbyzone Supercub.

I was flying at our town football field behind the High School and I was going to do laps around the goal post. I had completed one full lap and went to do another.
I got a wee bit too close and the wing hit the top of the post about 1 inch from wingtip. The small foam plane did 2 complete 360* turns before I throttled up and flew it out before she hit the ground.
I landed it right away and found the wing sitin a a very funny angle to the fuse.. thanks to the rubber bands holding the wing on there wasnt any real damage. just a dent in the wingtip.

All my other OOp's didnt end so good.

Re: Greatest Saves!!

Was flying my raptor and on the top of a loop it went quiet. Seemed like forever to get it upright and in an auto. I couldn't make it all the way back to the field. It landed nose in in the tall grass. I couldn't even see where it landed. When I went out to pick up the carnage It was just sitting there on its skids. On further inspection the reason for the engine failure was a broken conecting rod in the engine. No other damage. I think I used up a lot of luck on that one.

Re: Greatest Saves!!

This is going to be a great thread! I have many experiences I can share. Here is one of them:

Last year I was flying my LMP Spitfire 60 with an OS70FS.

Winds were kind of wonky that day with variable gusts that were coming from all angles.
The funny winds meant we had to use the East-West runway, which is not often used and has an approach this is coming down a hill.

As I was coming in for a landing with the gear down, the winds kept gusting, and just as I was about 3' off the deck, a combination of crosswind gust and me approaching the stall speed for touchdown caused a tip-stall and my Spit did a 180 degree snap-roll. In another 1/2 second my plane was doomed to plunge inverted into the runway.

Fortunately, I reacted in a microsecond and slammed full throttle, stabilized the ailerons and added just enough down-elevator to fly down the runway inverted!!!!!
After I climbed for height and completed another circuit, I came in a little hotter this time and settled her in for a smooth landing.

Being a gusty day, there weren't that many fliers at the field but the ones that were there did witnessed my save and were quick to congratulate me for my quick reflexes
