If you can actually fly and don't just talk about it, Aurora is not a problem. Crosswinds if any are generally of a very small angle to the active, which is some 400 ft long by about 150 ft wide.
The RC Flying Club of Toronto has their field on Passmore , just east of Markham Rd. That's roughly the south east corner of Markham Rd. & Steeles Av East.
Lot's of large planes - much larger than your P51 -fly there. Although wind is often from the south, landing/take off is not allowed into the south, as that's where the pits are. So some crosswind is common. That's what your rudder is for.
However, once again, if you can fly and don't just talk about it, that's not a problem.
