Long Time....

To quote a favourite musician; "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans".

The last few years have been quite hectic for me and I've had little time for this hobby. I've been dedicated to a large project at work over the past several years and have now moved on to Enterprise Architecture where, I was achieving a more reasonable work/life balance ... now I've been tapped to deliver another 'first', high risk/reward application....

Anyway, I've decided I need to get back to this hobby as I need some balancing activity to offset the work stress. Much to my delight, in my new location I can access RCC and the MAAC site (they were both blocked from the Data Centre).

Anyway, hello to all my old friends here, hope to see you at the field and events where I hope to be out flying more..... I also hope to get back to some outstanding projects/promises I had to let lapse.....

Re: Long Time....

Hi Jim. Glad to hear you are back!.

Thanks for reminding us of how life can get in the way of the things we love the most. I know, I have been there myself and found that the return to the hobby can be very satisfying. (for me it was when I was finally able to have a workshop again and start building. ....again.... )

Nowdays time is divided between Wife, Kids, work and other activities but I still try to find the time to build or fly. I hope you are able to do the same as well!

Re: Long Time....

Hey Jim... its about time you appeared in another Flying Models photo

I miss youand some of the "original" crew since I have returned as a regular here. Ahhh... the old days.

Its fun to get back to something you love, isnt it? I think I have done more modeling in the past 4 months than the past 4 years!

Re: Long Time....

In Jim's defence (not that he needed it) he hasn't been TOTALLY inactive in RC. Every swap meet or show that he helped me with Ontario Adhesives, he was quite active shopping! He filled my booth a couple of times, though I think I bought more than him at the Toledo Expo this year!

So get into the workshop and start getting these acquisitions into the air Jim!
