What kind of a combat plane are you looking to build? Something scale?? Open B??

For scale you will have to use 2mm. For open B you can get away with 4mm but it looks like crap because it bends at the spar instead of curving.

Will you be flying competetive combat? If you are not, the great planes 1/12 combat planes are a bargain at under $140. They are arfs and truly go together in under an hour. They include everything but electronics and engine.

If it's your first time putting together a coroplast plane, sorry, but an hour as stated earlier is a real exaggeration. It will take you the better part of a day, and that's if you dont decorate it.

You need to decide what class of plane you want first, what/who you're going to fly against, and what kind of time investment you're willing to put into it.

I can help out more if I know those things.

Re: RC Combat Plane

Spads are great!!.......A group of seven/eight of us got together on materials,,,, it would cost about $20 per airframe and usually a bunch of hours making it personalized. Very fun flying machines,,
