Nova Rossi.57 & OS 55

My OS 50 was die last week! Just try to find a new engine for my 600N. According to the data, the Nova Rossi.57 looks a better performance and power than OS 55. However, when i ask the store and the boss told me that OS 55 is more easy to tunning compare to the Nova Rossi.57. Also, Nova Rossi needs lots of time to mill the engine. Is that true? Actually, i am not really believe it because the store doesn't sell Nova Rossi.57 engine. Any advice? What I concern is : 1. power, 2. life, 3. tuning

Re: Nova Rossi.57 & OS 55

Since you didn't mention that $$ was a factor I would suggest buying the OS 55, NR 57 and the YS 56 :=)

Very few Canadians would have bought and flown extensively both engines. I search another forum and of course, found some information. Second hand information: some recommended the YS; NR 57 has more power, runs rough, and uses more fuel; OS user friendly, but not as much power. Personal preferences and bias always enters the pic unless you test all three under controlled conditions in a lab.

Cant go wrong with either of those engines. Both make excellent power...the Os55 has amazing recovery and takes a beating and asks for more.
