Hey Andrew....

As a heli convert I can confirm your findings.... I am not sure why there is so much to do about being able to switch between rate and HH... After initial setup I set both gyro switch positions to HH mode to prevent switching it off.. I moved up to a stretched PROTOS carbon and have never even tried it in rate mode..

I was "thinking" through hard turns the other day and it amazed me how much rudder you use and how little "aileron". I think in the neat nose down stop and back turns you actually have to cross control with a little opposite aileron.. seams natural now but was intimidating at first for an old time plane guy...

I flew the copter a few times the other day and then put my little electric pattern ship up and it flew like crap...(pilot induced) because i was chopper turning.... go figure... im converted!
