For servos I used the double sided "servo tape" (or "car tape" as some people call it). Basically it is a black rubbery double side tape that sticks like a cat to the curtains! It is very neat and can be worked off if a replacement is necessary.

However - as a previous poster said - Hot Glue is also fantastic for working with foam. Especially the thinner lower temp sticks from Canadian Tire.

The previous ideas will work. I CAed my servos in. I first wrapped masking tape around the servo to protect it, sprayed kicker into the servo well and dotted the masking tape on the servo with medium ca. Placed the servo into the well. It has stayed in place for about a year now. If I have to remove the servo I just slice the tape with a knife and remove it.

With all this info we are giving you, what Multiplex plane are you assembling?

If you want awesome, you have to scratch build it!

Re: Multiplex Foam

I use a few small drops of hot glue for servos
1 small amount under each servo mounting tab and a small amount on one side or the bottom as you slide it in. Holds tight, withstands shock.

+1 for thick CA for the servos ...

Re: Multiplex Foam

Wow, all those votes and no one suggested Elapor glue.
(can we assume it is engineered to glue this foam?)
