Its not the motor, it the battery supplying power to the motor that you need to keep an eye on..

Re: Parkzone F4F Wildcat

I had an issue, but quickly it was resolved, because I did not have the throttle set at idle on startup, so no MOTOR CONTROL!! Always gotta learn the hard way! Beginner mistake but sh*t happens!

Re: Parkzone F4F Wildcat

Haven't flown the wildcat yet, but I do own the p-51, corsair and me109 and I will say so far with multiple flights on all, that the 109 is absolutely awsome. I'm flying it stock and am getting good flight times 6-7 min. I've also been running turnigy 1800 packs and again no problems.

Re: Parkzone F4F Wildcat

I just bought a Wildcat ($119.99) and have had 5 flights.
Lost orientation on first flight and has a pretty hard smuck.:
Repaired it and added red stripes on under wing tips and tail and corresponding yellow stripes above wing and tail.

Moved 2200 mah Turnigy back with 5/8 inch spacer and it now flies great.
Wrecked the cawl on the 5 flight.

Summary-> Flies well (similar to T28 ), repairs easily, and looks great in the air with no LG. Love the two piece mid wing.

Up the ESC to >+30 Amps, go with 3 blade Corsair or 2 blade Trojan prop and you get more performance.

For $75 you can buy the P51 Mustang airframe when your tired or can't fix the Wildcat anymore, move all of the components to the P51 Mustang which doesn't come with rudder controls (included on F4F) and you are good to go.
