Both the Alpha trainer and the LT-40 can benefit from an aluminum main gear. Only 10 bucks from the LHS and it makes a big improvement to the sturdiness of the LG.

Thumbs up Re: The new Alpha trainer

Awsome trainer.
I got the Alpha 40 RTF in July 2010 and got my wings 6 weeks later. I was impressed how easy it is to fly it.

One of the most experienced pilots in my club had the chance to fly it and while he was doing loops and rolls, he just said: "Oh boy, this plane can fly". I tought he was making fun of me, but he mentioned again how impressed he is.
After I got my wings last month, I went to the club and for the first time, the sky was the limit...loops, rolls, inverted... After I landed the plane, another pilot came to me and explained me how to do some "nice" loops and rolls. Next flight, based on the new instructions, I was doing cuban eights and reverse cuban eights

Now, I am looking for my second plane, a low wing trainer: the Pulse XT
