I just received this and thought you may want to read about Jack McGillivary and all his Canadian modelling achievements throughout his lifetime.

Wow! I recognized his name, but was not aware of a tenth of his achievements.

Re: Passing of a great modeller

I remember when I was about 12 years old my father would take me along with Barry Fletcher to a school gym out by Pearson Airport on Saturday nights and fly these little rubber band airplanes around in circles. I built a Rogue plane and Jack would help me adjust this and that and even share some of his rubber band. I would watch these planes Jack built fly over head with their props moving ever so slowly and the body heat rising from my head would affect this plane. He will surely be missed.

He became a Maac Hall of Fame member in 1993.

I am sure Jacks history will be well preserved. And his Maac Records are super intimidating to beat. If you don't think so, try it !

I always wanted to meet Jack, but he will be that next thermal I want to catch.
He will be with me...

FreeFlight is FreeFlight

R/C and C/L are easy. It is why mere mortals do it !

Rest in Peace Jack.

Great guy and extremely knowledgeable.
I remember flying with him and against him in FAI nordic years ago.(actually it was many years ago).
Free flight was and still is the best.

RIP in Jack
