Hi RcCanada

I am a brand new heli flyer. Purchased a no name coaxial first had to upgrade after a week to something bigger. So I found a nine eagles kestrel 500. Broke the main rotor blades and on to my spare set that came with it. When I purchase my next set do they have to be exact length as the previouse or will close count. Did not know if they are geared for that specific blade or not.

Re: more crashes to come

I have the same heli.

I use it for indoor flying, it is a blast and is fun to fly.
I also whacked my first set of blades by being a little too cocky around a limbo pole. I am also down to my last set.

I went to one of the biggest RC helicopter hobby shops here in the GTA with the idea of matching the blades to what they had in stock. These guys have a lot of inventory!

What I found out was in spite of their huge collection of various FP blades, nothing matched. The good news is this LHS did stock these blades, and at 9 bucks, its not worth buying something else "close" when you can get the proper blades.

Re: more crashes to come

Go to the Pickering Flea Market on the weekend and see Peter at Revolution RC in aisle K. He carries all parts for Kestrel 500 and other Nine Eagles heli's.
