ya 50% throttle with 0 pitch is a pretty bad thing thats almost like free revving a motor at rpm.... that can also cause it to over heat and over rev....

Hello Max, if your needle valve is open 7.5 turns to get it to run I suspect a fuel restriction problem or insufficient muffler pressure , check that your muffler is tight ,the smallest leak will affect performance & if its a 2 peice muffler make sure both sections of the muffler are tight against each other. The fellows above have all given you good advice regarding fresh fuel, glow plugs rotor blade angle settings etc. A dirty carburetor could also be suspected ,If these are old carburetors fuel residues could have gelled in them. If your as lazy as I am check the easiest fix first. good luck
