This tip is not for me, but i read it on the web somewhere.
To clean your iron, use a used Fleecy( one for the dryer clothe machine)
The tip work better if the iron is warm.

Another method for running wires through a pre-built wing is to use a vacuum cleaner (on low suction) to pull a thread through the wing. Suction at one hole, feed thread in the other. Once the thread is through, you can attach it to the wires and pull them through the other way.

Straight-edge sander. If you know someone installing hardwood flooring, ask about leftovers or hit Lowes or Home Depot. Often they will have some separate and finished hardwood flooring where they sell individual boards as samples about 2.5" wide and try for 24-36" long.

Using double sided tape you can put sandpaper on the finished side and get a nice block to sand straight edges with. The nice part about the finished side is you can remove the old tape and paper rather easily. Mine is about 6 years old and still holding up.
