I would recommend going with 2x5s simply because it's cheaper, works great, stays cooler, and the most likely your charger will handle it better. The only side note is you should always keep those two series batteries together! Don't separate them and they will be perfect another thing you can do for safety is add EC5 connectors for the connection between the ESC and the one end of the series connection, then simply make the wrest of series/batteries all deans.
