Sorry for the post if I am wrong but I plan to do the conversion on my HZSCLP wing and am now confused... I was thinking this mod requires two servos and a "Y" servo harness between the receiver and the servos?
NeCubFlyer on Youtube has an excellent series of videos about strengthening and covering the Super Cub, and adding ailerons.

I've already done his battery box, wing saddle and landing gear mods. I copied his coat-hanger balancer too and even with the mods the pitch balance is perfect.

I'll save the ailerons for after I learn how to fly.

Re: The best beginner airplane

I thought I'd pass on the news re another new(ish) trainer. It's new on the market, but only because it's a new version of an established trainer that had been recommended to me by someone who didn't realize I was going electric ONLY. Hangar 9 has finally got stock out on the Alpha 40 ARF ( which can be built as an electric (E-flite power 25 recommended) or as a gas / nitro plane, but unlike it's RTF version is doesn't include servos, receiver or a motor, and it's priced right for the size & quality of what's in the box. Quality is high, instructions were very easy to follow, and assembly doesn't take long nor require a lot of skill. I also like the colour scheme & think it will be easy to see at a distance.
My guide to R/C photography.
