Re: slow servo for retract

If you are using a standard sevo for retracts, you can use a device that slows down the servo. I have one of these in one of my planes and it works very well. you can programm the speed to a rate that suits you.

You just plug the retact servo into this device and run leads to your gear channel. It's that simple.

Re: slow servo for retract

I would think a digital servo would allow you to program it to slow the rotation or if your radio has the feature it can slow the servo as well. My Hitec Aurora 9 has this feature but have yet to use it.

Hope this helps.

Re: slow servo for retract

Now that's a neat little gizmo, and can hook up 3 servos from 1 channel on the receiver. I may have just the spot to use this. Now that would make things simpler.

Re: slow servo for retract

Or get a DX-11 radio. It has servo speed capability. I haven't tried it. Only read about it.

Re: slow servo for retract

These servo rate controllers might not work with true retract servos. I use these for flaps and retracts that use regular servos and they are great... One of the outputs functions as a servo reverser, so not all control the rate of travel.
