learn the basics, and get a consistent helper. A big part of the unknowns is having your caller know your style and working with you.
Flying Giants used to post each set of unknowns right after the event, so there are always some to use to get into the habit of following your caller

Uhmmmm................. NO, then they would NOT be Unknowns.

Your best way to practice for Unknowns is to get hold of some past unknowns, don't look at them untill the night before you want to fly it then have someone who can really read Aresti call them for you. Treat practice like a contest. If you get to study the unknowns for a few days then fly them then they are not realy uknowns anymore, are they? Try and do your practice sessions like it was a contest. That way you will be use to the pressure/feelings you actually feel at a contest as oposed to haveing the relaxed luxury of practice.

The Catalog of Unknowns is different for each class.

If you need some past uknowns I can send them to you, I am on the IMAC sequence committtee and actually scripted the last 1/2 the 2011 Sportsman Sequence, so I have nobody to blame my flying on in 2011 then myself.
