Thats really sharp looking Buzz!

I hope that mine will end up looking half as good!
I really love to build with wood, but for a durable combat plane, wood does not survive very well!

I just ordered plain white, but i see that you have silver.
Can coro be painted, with fuel proof paint?

Re: Source for 2 Mil Coro in Winnipeg??

That is a coroplast plane. Some foam used in the turtle deck to get a better look, and pop bottles shrunk over a mold for the cowl and belly pan. The rest is all coroplast.

Coro can be painted. In this part of the world we use water based paint right on the coroplast after giving it a light scuff. We save painting for models that have camo patterns on them though, since painting is a little more inolved.

A good example of a painted coro plane is the picture shown below of the Johnnyg spit I was referring to in another post. Only the rondelles, insgnias, numbers and leading edge were done in vinyl. Again, the plane is all coro with the exception of pop bottle cowl, an foam turtle deck.

A plane like the mustang has a lot of solid colours and straight lines, so sign vinyl is much easier. Even if you have white corplast, you can clad the entire plane in silver sign vinyl.

Wow! Now that is a nice spit!

So what you guys are saying is that time and patients pays off when using this as a contruction material.

What about tool of the trade? I know lots of clamps are involved as well as multiple weights... a sharp knife, straight edge, ....?

Anything else?

Thank for all your help!!
