I flew a few times last winter, hoping to try again this winter. I didn't have much luck with the skiis except in the parking lot, and tried floats but they broke off. Think I'll give the Cub a go on skiis.

Cool Re: Winter's coming

One winter it was so cold but we just HAD to test fly my friends new plane. So we went out to the field anyways and took off. Once the plane was airborne and trimmed out, we jumped back in the warm truck with the window open just enough to get the antenna out. We flew it around for 20 minutes or so before landing. It was a gasser.

Re: Winter's coming

If there was the option, I would have clicked "I prefer to fly indoors in the winter"

Re: Winter's coming

Thanks for reminding me Mark!
However I fly all winter, have a transmitter mitt, lipos in a insulated cooler with hand warmer packs to keep them warm. I am ready, plus I fly indoors once a week also.

Re: Winter's coming

Around the first of November I put everything away for the winter. Perform any necessary maintenance and repairs and call it a year. Then I am "out of here" to the sunny south for most of the winter. I admire you winter flyers and call me what you will, but that part of the hobby is not or me. Cheers
