Re: Suggestions for a great 1/8th scale truggy

I think it really depends on whether you're planning on racing or not. There is a pretty big range of truggies and even most nitro truggies you can find electric conversions for so it's really not a big deal which you choose.

If you're going to bash and want an RTR then the Traxxas E-Revo is a good choice. Lots of parts support locally.

The losi and associated truggies are great and both are available electric or with kits.

I have losi 8ight-t and the e-revo (as well as 2 1/8 electric buggies) and they are great racers and bashers for all conditions.

Re: Suggestions for a great 1/8th scale truggy

I have 2 Hyper St Pro truggies, one is nitro and the other i converted to brushless electric with a mamba monster system. They are wicked truggies and i would put them up against any other rc vehicle anyday in a bash fest and the opponent will always break first, these hypers are tough! they are made by ofna for the Habao racing team, very expensive to buy new, but if you can get one used well worth it. I also have a revo, and they are cool, if your looking for a RTR kit straight outta the box i would say the losi eight brushless is one badass machine and would get my vote for number one outta the box with the e-revo with mamba monster in second. Spend some money and convert a Hyper St Pro to electric with a Mamba monster and you got yourself the baddest electric bashing machine on the planet.
