We had a gorgeous day... 7 or 8 degrees, sunny and no wind. A few guys were supposed to go to the field.

Unfortunately for me, I committed to helping a good friend work on his driveway redoing the pave stones. At least I was outside enjoying the nice weather

If I get a chance maybe tomorrow or Wed. as its still supposed to be nice.

Re: An afternoon of nov flying

We had a great day here near Comox on Vancouver Island. Was really foggy in the morning but by noon it had all burnt off to a sunny day. Not a breath of wind and +11. Very unexpected as the weather guesser was saying rain!! I had a 20 min flight with my electric sailplane with just the initial climb to soaring height under power. Flew my Trex 500 heli as about opposite ends of the relaxation spectrum!!
Anyway. it was a really nice autumn day!

Re: An afternoon of nov flying

We had quite a snow storm here on Friday (picture of friend's e25 Stik at 9 am)but then Saturday & Sunday were sunny and calm, if a bit cool. Although I had to send off my Dx7 Tx to Horizon for a reset (BACKUP ERROR), my good friend lent me his so I got in some great flights both days. Flew 6 packs (that's lipos not beers) each day with my "all weather interceptor" - the trusty Stik with the Scorpion 3026-20. Happy to hear that so many enthusiasts from coast to coast were out enjoying themselves.

Re: An afternoon of nov flying

we were out Sat flying at a fellow club members place, it was nice weather and it is a nice change of pace flying in a different enviroment with new runway aproaches and trees and barns and stuff to avoid.
I would have loved to fly yesterday, it was sunny, 17C and no wind, but I was volintold to rebuild my in-laws wood stove, I was hip deep inside the stove grinding and welding...I looked like a coal miner when I was done :P

Re: An afternoon of nov flying

Lol It was a tail dragger with retarcts when I got the plane. Wanted a trike for a change, so I converted it back. Aside from the wheel sizes being wrong, had to change the front one to a biogger size, I love it.

Forgot to take pics of my lil cub, thats appears to be just a tad over powered with an OS 25 in it LMAO.. but is still alot of fun
happy flying

Thumbs up Re: An afternoon of nov flying

"Great minds think alike"

The weather in southern Ontario was great for flying to.
I stuck a keychain camera on my Wing Dragon and flew next door in the beanfield.
Then I downloaded the video and relived the flight from the plane's perspective.

I love this hobby!
