I have a friend that used to store and fly the actor Cliff Robertson's Spitfire near here and the sound when he would buzz my place was awesome, to say the least.

Except for the drumbeat of a beefy radial, the Merlin howl is right up there. Jets are nice, but that white noise just gets louder. No personality.
I know there's money in aviation........I put it there!

Don't miss it if you are in England.
Lots of good stuff there.
Duxford is awesome. I was there in 08 or 09. I liked seeing the skid marks on the rear skid plate of the Concorde. What an awesome place. I was like "this close" to fly in the Tiger Moth. I so regret it now.

In theory, everything works.

Very enjoyable video. . . the Lancaster flew over Hamilton and surrounds yesterday, November 11th as part of Veterans' Day ceremonies. It is always to thrill to see it and hear those engines.
