Re: My order to Santa!

This is the best example of a flying car I have seen to date.
I like it!

Just like a parachute- or any other powered parachute- you pull a toggle and the "wing" warps. He actually describes it on the video. I'll bet it is hooked to the sttering wheel. I would have liked to have seen a detailed explanation of the control system, because he also mentions its ability to flare(pulling on both toggles on a parachute ) but I wonder how they do that on the car. maybe its a movable yoke as well as a steering wheel?

Re: My order to Santa!

The only thing new is they have mated the motor to also drive the machine as a car. PPC's have been around for awhile. Even one of the James Bond movies featured fancy morphed PPC's.
One down side to the PPC that is not mentioned is it is really a calm weather vehicle. Wind will really slow you down at a certain point if you are heading into it. The chute creates a lot of drag. I just can't remember the exact figure.

Here is a Canadian Company for them.

If you want awesome, you have to scratch build it!

Re: My order to Santa!

I asked Santa to think about buying me a new radio.

Well last night PMHobbycraft had a 25% off everything in store sale. Ended up buying the Hitec Aurora 9 + 9ch RX for $350.

I also bought 3 more 9 ch rx's for $60 each. Plus a GP Extra 300sp for $150!

Thanks Santa!!!! A HUGE upgrade from my DX6i!
