Currently have the Futaba FP-T4NBF with our Fixed wing, but would like to use the Tx to control a RC BattleBot...can compatible RX, and servors be found in Ontario?

You shouldn't use a 72Mhz transmitter for ground (I am assuming that you are refering to an RC tank. excuse me if I am wrong).

There is a part of the spectrum that is destined to be use for RC trucks/boats and other part of the spectrum for air.

I agree with the post above.
72mhz radios from Channel 12 to 60 are exclusively for airplane use. you are breaking FCC regulations by using it for surface use. If you have an airplane radio, PLEASE, do not use it for your car/boat/Tank/ or battle-bot!

If you are going to use a radio for your battle-bot, then you must use a radio that is on channel 61-99. Or better yet, use a 2.4G radio and you wont have any problems. Low end 2.4 G radios, while not the best for airplanes, are perfect for land use, and you can get some chinese 6 channel knock-off's for under $60.
