Just wanted to thank everyone that's helped me out and given advice over the last little while. Wholesale Hobby went over the top when the plane, radio and sim I ordered showed up at the post office the day after I ordered them!

And so far, everyone has been right. I haven't maidened the Supercub yet, but after playing around with PhoenixRC for a couple hours, I've saved thousands! And learned the following:

1) I don't know what I thought I knew.
2) A lot of what I think I knew was wrong.
3) Hovering ain't easy
4) Flying is only marginally easier.
5) I can get ANY aircraft in the sky- and some of them I can keep there.
6) Landings are iffy; no guarantees!
7) Yes, you can be cut in half by Airwolf!

Re: Thanks for All the Great Advice!

Hi Mark.

I am glad to hear that we in the RCC community have helped you out .

I recall your initial query and it seems like you made the right choices for a plane that would suit you (the Supercub was my choice for you as well )

You will find the sim to be very helpful! Keep at it. Depending on the individual, it takes a bit of time for it to all soak in.

Good luck and I hope to hear some more of your successes as you progress in this wonderful hobby!
