I had to 'rescue' my Wildhare Sukhoi twice this past season. Both lost on badly timed dead-sticks. The first one was far worse than the second but it still took some time to get myself motivated to dig into it again.

The first 'rescue' starts at post #193 for any interested. After looking at Dennis' rescue, mine barely looks like a repair, lol!

I'm very interested to see what that Mustang looks like once it gets all framed up! That's one huge warbird!

I might be able to motivate myself to work on the hatch of my current project once I get back from flying my heli. I'm off for a couple days and I'd love to get back into build mode.

Re: Aircraft 'rescue'

Well ... the kids brought flu into the house for holidays so that time is now past.

The wings are joined now and I'm planning out the aileron and flap controls, the plans show old school bellcranks etc. I'm not a fan so I'm re-planning some of this. The fuselage was framed ... crooked so I've been breaking that down, I'll try to get some pictures up.

Thanks for the compliments, I'll try to live up to them, this project is testing my patience, I've been sorely tempted to just use parts as patterns and start over, it might be less work but, she's not going to beat me.

Power ... hmmnnn... The plans really do call for a .60 2 stroke, I've been eyeing up my Moki 2.10. It would fit nice but may be way too much, I may have to pick up something gas/ignition if my balance estimates prove correct....
