Does this plane use Robart hinge pins on the surfaces? Answered my own question by finding the build manual and downloading it.

When do you plan on installing a seat and full size controls? You can sit on that thing and fly it man!!! Beautiful plane!

I bet a nice DA85 or 3w85 single would fit in the cowl nicely with a pitts muffler. With the DLE111 it's gonna be a 3D machine!
I never did weigh it I'm pretty sure it is in the 27 - 30 lb range.

I originally wanted to install my DA-85 but if you look at the Super Cub cowl you lose alot of cowl area on the bottom compared to a J3. You would have to cut out alot of cowl to fit the head of a DA-85. Thats the reason I tried to find a twin in the 70 - 80 cc range.

Some people have mounted G-62's and it would easily fly it, just don't expect a vertical rocket My 3W-78ib2 is a great match for it, I just need to experiment more with props as I don't have much vertical either. I'm currently getting 6700 RPM on a Mejzlik 26x8.

If your looking for a Super Cub, want a relaxing flyer to calm the nerves after that heavy aerobatic session... this is it
RV-8'ting and loving it!!

Re: 1/3 cub

Excellent looking cub! I like it. I'm actually very suprised to hear your ordered this through PMS. I figured they wouldn't custom order anything this big, but I haven't tried asking.

Hope to see this bird fly someday. Come down for our funfly (CRAMS) this spring with her. Heck, toss her in IMAC Basic and come to the competitions with us!

Next you should add some floats... Would be a sweeeeeet float plane for the Shushwap float meet.
