No worries Bill, I have just never seen anything like that, and was just curious. Thanks, Daren

Too bad about Webra, but yeah, you don't hear much about them, so its no wonder people are buying from "other" sources.

Price. Availability. Marketing. Its a triad of factors.

I agree with Andrew but it's probably pretty daunting to set up a deal with a company like Horizon when you're a specialist manufacturer.

The hobby is also becoming more of a "gotta have it now" generation and while there are those who still build, when it comes to engines, a person will likely pick up whatever is readily available thru the hobby shops/mail order.

Re: Sad news at WEBRA

This is really too bad, webra makes excellent engines but i have to agree with the others about the distribution problems. I have three of their engines and my new relatively new 91P5 is excellent... there is nothing that compares to a 15-8 3 blade at 7200rpm in that size/weight of engine.
I will have to go with enya or Jett now for any new two strokes.

I find it funny regarding prices that people often have no problem spending the money for a saito/OS/YS but can't pay less or similar for a quality 2 stroke.
