Some like myself will never fly 3D I really don't like how it looks ETC. I am however into scale and building stuff building and then seeing my work fly is my reward. For me slow precise landing on a dime type flying is where I'm at. Now having said that quality counts with this type of flying as well, the closer to true the parts are the more precise the movement of the helicopter will be, if it is trimmed properly that is. For me HK helis are a good starting point but shafts, gears and many rotating parts should be Align. As a matter of fact I just opened a brand new HK600 mainshaft and found it bent by .015 which will give some nasty vibration. Material quality counts for durability and also in surviving hard landings. After all that like it was said earlier quality is where you really want to end up with.
