I hear that, it wasn't until I was scrounging up some supplies that I knew of any other nomad RC pilots around here. I have found at least 4 other guys that are into it, but NO buddy boxes close.

Re: How to Kill an HZ Supercub

Club field had'nt been used in at least 3 years when I stumbled across Russ out there! Absolutely thrilled to discover him there! Club had kind of petered out over the years(people moved away, passed away, lost interest ect) & I was tired of driving all the way there just to stand around after a flight by myself so was just flying at home. Great to have someone to share this great hobby! To me it's as much a social thing as it is about flying! Welcome Russ!!

Re: How to Kill an HZ Supercub

That's awesome! Glad you got a new flying buddy out of this hilarious (and somehow strangely familiar) story of learning on the HZ Super Cub. That's how I learned to fly too! I only had to rescue it a couple times, though.

Flying at a club and having someone to fly with is so much better. I enjoy sitting back, watching, and chatting almost as much as I enjoy my flights.
