OK here’s another question for all you Gassers out there…

If you look at the stats of the CRRC 26 and the DLE 20…

These engines both have great reputations and are pretty much identical… (from what I can see)

Displacement 26cc
Power 2.42 HP
Weight 1.165 Kg
Price $200.00

DLE 20
Displacement 20cc
Power 2.5 HP
Weight 820 gms
Price $270.00

So the Questions would be;

1. Is the extra weight saving for the DLE 20 worth the extra $70.00 on the sticker price?
2. Is there any other advantage to the DLE?
3. Is there any other advantage to the CRRC?
Life is either a daring adventure...
...or nothing.

Re: Another Comparison

Well, depending what it's going into - however the weight difference is pretty huge, unless my conversion math fails me it's around 12 oz's. And there's marginally less HP to haul that extra 12oz around.

Oh yes, and a side versus a rear carb.

BTW, anyone have a DLE 20 they want to part with? I'm looking for one....

Re: Another Comparison

My vote would be for the DLE20. Lighter and marginally more horsepower. The weight saving is pretty substantial.

Re: Another Comparison

My vote is for the rear carb.
The side mounted carb will eventually show it's uglyness soon enough down the road. Models of this size usually have narrower cowls. The reason that I did mot buy the original DLE30 when they first came out. I sure did like their power, and ease of operation.
Just my 2 cents, Dale.
FishFly - FunFly, Sept 11-13. Great fun!
Trout Farm Flyers. Life is good.
