Hi there. I would like to learn how to fly this summer. I come from a background of racing rc cars. By the start of the flying season I plan to have a plane (rtf or start building the next couple weeks, if there's still time). I know I need a radio, field box, engine, starter and some fuel, is there anything else I'm missing?
I also know that I need to join a club, is there any around Hamilton? And I know I need maac insurance, just wondering how I go about all this?
In other words, I would like to know how and what I need to join this side of the rc hobby.

Hi ModularGT. Flying Tigers RC club is always open to new members and is a good club to join. There are a bunch of friendly guys always willing to help out and there is a flight training program as well. We also have club meetings at the Police association on the first Wednesday of every month and everyone is welcome. The web sit is http://www.flyingtigers.ca/ . As far as your aircraft and equipment needs are concerned ,I live on the mountain in Stoney Creek and if you have any questions just send me a pm or if you live close I could check things out for you.
