I sell mainly to the US because I mail to anywhere in the US cheaper than in Canada with the small packet rate, etc.

Note: I received a package from Tower/Reno which came through Alberta and the post office person didn't notice BC destination, so GST only. I asked the delivery person and they just said that's it, that's the charge!

Re: Canada Post

I sent a small package (a pair of model plane ski) to a friend of mine in Beijing on Jan. 28 and it is still not received. I fear it has already been lost. When I mailed it, the clerk told me there was no need to mail it registered. Now there is no way for me to get any info about the package!

More recently, I was expecting a parcel (a hand-made indoor plane) from China and found that it went through the Customs. Then it was mysteriously sent back to China! I tried to phone Canada Post to find out why, but was told all the lines were busy and advised to phone later.

That's rediculous. Not to mention that it takes weeks to get delivered.

I would have to say that the mistake was yours. Well not really as CP doesn't really tell you all their quirks. Such as anything under 2mm thick I think it is goes for (around ) $2.00. Or if you buy one of those envelopes you see up on the wall at Post Office Price differs with size I believe but it ships anywhere in Canada with whatever you can get in it. I shipped one the other day and it made it to the east Coast for $13.00 and in three days total. So ask questions at The PO some of them are friendly and will help you.

Re: Canada Post

Got a few items in the last few days. Batteries from the U.S 7 days from California. Orange X receiver 7 days from B.C. $9 shipping on 4 Batteries and I forget the shipping on the RX and tossed the padded envelope already. Probably $6 or $7 for that. I have found that items go from east to west faster then West to East. Makes no sense but it always takes longer to send something to N.S or NFLD then to send it this way. Confused yet!

Re: Canada Post

Well my simulator that I ordered almost 4 weeks ago has been sitting at customs for review since the 14th. Must be brushing up on there sim time I guess. Can't see what is to review , CD, some cables and some deans connectors. What is taking 3 days review. Hobby King order left Hong Kong on the 12th , ordered on the 9th and has already cleared customs and is in Ontario right now.
